The Prince of Orange plant, on the other hand, has a different leaf shape, tends to grow a bit more compact and only has orange color in the new leaves all over the leaf. Later, those leaves turn green. The variegata spots of the Philodendron Orange Princess do remain in the leaves as the leaves age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eCare\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWater and light\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCare of this houseplant is relatively easy and similar to the popular Philodendron Pink Princess. This species likes clean water, such as rainwater, and a spot with plenty of indirect daylight. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eTemperature\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the other hand, this plant is not a fan of drafts, but does well at temperatures between 17 and 25 degrees Celcius. The optimal temperature for growth is around 24 degrees Celcius, but a few degrees lower the plant can tolerate well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eHumidity\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith higher temperatures in the summer, a humidifier and fan can help keep the plant from drying out too quickly and from giving bacteria and mold a chance. Be careful with drafts, however, as this plant does not like them. Typically, this houseplant likes a humidity of 60-80%. Below 50% can cause the plant to grow less easily and prevent the new leaves from unfolding easily. Regular light misting with room temperature rainwater also helps to stimulate the plant in growth and maintain humidity levels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eNutrition\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor proper growth of this particular plant, it is best to give a lower concentration than normal houseplants during the growing season. This can be tapered off in the winter. Orange Princess' orange spots can be damaged if too much nutrition is given or if the quality of water is too low. Rainwater or filtered water at room temperature with a lower dose of quality houseplant food can prevent this relatively easily.
