That activated ability is sweet, but you can’t just cast your fifth Templar Knight and then activate the ability unless you can give that Knight haste, so there are some hoops to jump through

That permanent will have the alternative characteristics, though, and some other effect could cause it to become prepared later

So many of the cards that worked there will be just as good here

Most snow lands are either basic or taplands, so the mana base for a snow deck can be a bit narrow
